Donald E. Forsberg, 88, formerly of Monessen, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Emeritus at Creekview in Mechanicsburg, PA.He was born in Monessen on February 19, 1923, the son of the late Eric "Pete" Forsberg and Elsie Sadler Forsberg. Mr. Forsberg grew up in Monessen and was a 1941 graduate of Monessen High School. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and retired in 1985 with 43 years of service from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., having worked in the Chemical and Metallurgical Lab. Mr. Forsberg was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during WW II as a P.T. Boat repairman.He is survived by his two children; Donna L. (William) Clapper of Mechanicsburg, Donald E. Forsberg Jr. of North Port, FL, three grandchildren; Rebecca (Thomas) Pautz, Dillon E. Forsberg, Kaitlyn Forsberg, two great grandchildren; Alexander and Sierra Pautz, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Etta (Ludlow) Forsberg, and by a sister Ruth Hughes.Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 10;00 am in the funeral home, with Rev.
