Dolores Agnes (Michaels) Zyglowicz, 86, of Monessen, died Thursday April 23, 2020 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. She was born on March 31, 1934 in Monessen, the daughter of the late John Michaels Sr. and Anna Julia (Vagasky) Michaels. Dolores was a life long resident of the Monessen area and graduated from Rostraver High School Class of 1953. Following graduation she worked for Magura's Clothing Factory in Monessen and later for Donora Sportswear. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church and the former St. Hyacinth R.C. Church and its Rosary Society. Dolores was also a member of Mon Valley Slovak Society and Monessen Historical Society. She volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Monessen Center for Active Adults. She is survived by a son, Daniel Zyglowicz of Monessen; a daughter, Diane (Joseph) Palli of Belle Vernon; granddaughter, Sarah Palli; grandson, Stephen Palli; numerous nieces and nephews; and by her loving dog Sandy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Zyglowicz, whom she married on Oct. 24, 1959, five brothers, John Jr., Joseph, Frank, Elmer, and Paul Michaels, and by four sisters, Agnes Michaels, Ann Pagonis Randall, Margaret Mann, and Helen Martin. Due to the pandemic, a private visitation will be held and a private Funeral Mass celebrated in Epiphany of Our Lord Church with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
