David D. Stein

David D. Stein, 70, of Monessen, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at home, with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 15, 1954 in North Charleroi, the son of the late Raymond and Sarah (Lovus) Stein. He was Catholic by faith and a 1973 graduate of Monessen High School. He worked for 84 Mining then retired from Console Energy, where he worked as a Coal Miner for 35 plus years. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tina (Gagatko) Stein, son, David (Kasey) Stein; daughter, Alicia (Andy) Galis who took him in and cared for him for the final few weeks; grandchildren, Brielle, Vivian, AJ, Ben and Lily; Numerous Nieces and Nephews and the family would like to than a very special niece who helped to take care of Dave, Katie Fonner and brother-in-law, Fudgie Gagatko. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Raymond and James Stein.
