David N. Ferrari, 72, of Monessen, died Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Uniontown Hospital with his beloved wife at his side.He was born in Monessen on November 12, 1937, the son of the late Joseph and Bessie Nicolardi Ferrari. Dave was a life long resident of Monessen and a 1955 graduate of Monessen High School. He had worked for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel at its Monessen plant years ago, and then as a prison guard at S.C.I. Greensburg, retiring as a sergeant in 1995. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Fraternal Order of Police. Dave served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard as a Sergeant with Company C 1st. Battalion, 110th Infantry.He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Emma Lou Kovolick Ferrari, a niece Victoria Werly and husband Karl of Greensburg, a nephew Vincent Morabito and wife Becky of Scranton, his great niece and great nephews, Jennifer, Michael, Matthew, and Chris, and by his dog Annie Boo.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Regina Morabito.The family would like to thank Linda Seman and Karen DeiCas, for thier friendship, care, and compassion.Friends will be received on Tuesday Dec. 29th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Wednesday Dec. 30, 2009 at 10:00 am in the funeral home, with Rev.
