Daniel Escareno, 64, of Baldwin formerly of Monessen, died Wednesday Nov. 7, 2018 in Jefferson Hills Manor. He was born on January 29, 1954 in N. Charleroi, the son of the late Candelerio "Frank" and Ann (Vegas) Escareno. Danny grew up in Monessen and was a 1973 graduate of Monessen High School where he play football for the Greyhounds. He worked for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel prior to the plant closing, then went on to become a License Practical Nurse. He was currently employed with Kane Community Living Center. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Ann Margaret "Peg" (Hupe) Escareno, four daughters, Marilee (Jose) Colon, Danyale (Tad) Yates, Lindsey Escareno, Dana (Benn) Linger; a step son, Lance (Jamie) Cooper; three step daughters, Michele Fife, Dawna Mozes, Kelly (Jeremy) Bennett; a sister, Adella (Frank) Martik; six grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, and by nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Raymond "Sammy" Escareno and a sister Rita Stanley. Friends will be received on Sunday Nov. 11th from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am in St. Damien of Molokai Church, 722 W. Main St. Monongahela, with Rev. Kevin Dominik officiating. Please go directly to the church.
