Charles Danca Jr., 86, of Monessen, died Friday, December 5, 2008 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc..He was born in Chicago, IL on February 8, 1922, the son of the late Cologero and Rosina Sharon Pardo Danca.He was a resident of Monessen most of his life and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. He was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp, having worked as a stationary engineer.He was a veteran of WWII, having served with the U.S. Army as a Corporal.He is survived by a son, Charles A. Danca of Monessen, two daughters, Rosina Janisky of Monessen, and Charlene Kitchen of Gardner, KS, a sister, Josephine Hurst of Charleroi, a grandson, Joseph Anthony Leone Jr. of Fallowfield Twp. and by nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dora "Alice" Williams Danca, a son-in-law Jon Kitchen, and a sister, Jennie Brindzak.Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Tuesday Dec. 9, 2008, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R.
