Carol Lynn "Dee" (Davis) Simala, 64, of Stockdale, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at her home.She was born in Brownsville on July 7, 1945, the daughter of the late Harold and Caroline (Skibo) Davis. She grew up in Roscoe where she met the love of her life, Paul "Butch" Simala. They shared 52 years of love and laughter, including their wedding day, June 17, 1967.Carol was member of St. Joseph R. C. Church in Roscoe, a 1963 graduate of California High School, and had worked at a phlebotomist at Uniontown Hospital until retiring in 2003 to care for her grandchildren. She and Butch enjoyed traveling and playing nickel slots whenever they could. Her heart and home were always open and ready to comfort. She had a special gift for immediately making people feel at home. She loved spending time with her family, friends, special friend Darlene Guzzi, and the ladies of the Red Hat Society, Uniontown Chapter. She is now sitting in heaven enjoying a cup of coffee with her best friend Cathy.In addition to her husband, she will forever be missed by her sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and JoAnn Simala of Wellsburg, WV, Brad and Tami Simala of Fallowfield Twp.. Her grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, Ryleigh, and Braden Simala, will treasure her memory of love. She is also survived by her loving brother and sisters, Harold "Tim" (Thelma) Davis of California, Cindy (George) Minjock of Carroll Twp., Mary Lou (David) Fuller of Lake City, FL, and by numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her godchildren, Dana McCann and Connor Minjock.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Timothy Davis.Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave. Roscoe. (724-938-9323). Services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, beginning with a9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's R. C.
