Beniamino R. "Benny" Tenuta, 75, of Monessen, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.He was born in Marano Principato, Italy on October 7, 1934, the son of the late Francesco and Emilia (Ruffolo) Tenuta. Benny grew up in Italy, and had served in the Italian Army for two years, moving from Italy to Monessen in 1960. Benny worked as head baker for Keystone Bakery for 35 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus # 954 and the Epiphany Holy Name Socitey. Benny was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family, bake at home, and work in his garden.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eolanta (Picardi) Tenuta, a son and daughter-in-law, Frank G. and Julann Tenuta of Belle Vernon, a daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Raymond Iacoboni of Belle Vernon, brother and sister-in-law, Pierino and Rosetta Tenuta of Italy, six grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, and Benjamin Tenuta, Angela, Gina, and Maria Iacoboni, two sisters-in-law, Amelia Ruffolo of Monessen, Carmelina Ruffolo and husband Augustino of Italy, and by several nieces and nephews.Friends will be received on Tuesday July 6th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750). Services will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, beginning with 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church.
