Barbara (Swabik) Alesiani, 88, of Crystal River, FL, formerly of Monessen, died Tuesday April 26, 2016 in Crystal River, FL. She was born on June 28, 1927 in Blainesburg, PA, the daughter of the late John Swabik and Mary O'Masta Swabik. Mrs. Alesiani resided in Monessen for many years prior to moving to Florida. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Spring Hill, FL. Barbara enjoyed volunteering, bowling, shopping, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the America's, The Pennsylvania Club, and participated in The Retired Veteran's Club activities. Surviving are her three daughters; Luanne (Patrick) Coury of Allison Park, Tracey Alesiani of Ocala, FL, Kristen (Michael) Dickey of Crystal River, FL; two grandchildren, John and Chelcy Dickey; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Louis Alesiani, three brothers, John, Steven, and Paul Swabik, a sister Genieve Packrall, and by a niece Janice Phelps. A Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill, FL on Saturday June 4, 2016 at 11:00 am. Burial of her cremated remains will take place in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen, PA at a later date.
