Anthony "Tony" E. Lucchino, 57, of Fairfield, Iowa, formerly of Monessen, went home to be with the Lord following a brief illness, on Friday, November 23, 2007 in University of Iowa Hospital.He was born in N. Charleroi on August 17, 1950, the son of Dominic and Angela Talarico Lucchino, who survive and reside in Monessen. Anthony was a 1969 graduate of Monessen High School and attended Allegheny County Community College. He was a former member of St. Cajetan R. C. Church. Anthony moved to Iowa in 1981 and was employed as a lab technician with Genetic I.D. in Fairfield, IA. Tony was an avid baseball fan, and also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, John D. and Ann Lucchino of Latrobe, a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Philip Baldini of Rostraver Twp., five nieces and nephews, Anthony and Patrick Lucchino, Liza, Mia, and Philip Baldini, and by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.Tony was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandfather John Talarico and his maternal grandmother Concetta DeCaro Talarico, paternal grandparents Antonio and Maria Caruso Lucchino, and a step grandmother, Maria Staffieri TalaricoFriends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Thursday Nov. 29, 2007, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R.
