Anna (Figel) Josay, 91, of Monessen, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Dec.14, 2011.She was born in Monessen on April 22, 1920, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Fedio) Figel. Mrs. Josay was a life long resident of Monessen and prior to having children worked at Corning Glass in Charleroi. She was a charter member of the Monessen Fire Dept., Hose House # 2 Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Josay loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed playing cards, drawing, and watching Steeler games.She is survived by her three children, Maryann Josay, George C. (Lynn) Josay, Shirley (Dominick) Vaccaro, all of Monessen, five grandchildren, Christopher (Michele) Josay, Ashley Josay, Peter, Anthony, and Matthew Vaccaro, two great grandsons, Anthony Moses and John Rocco Josay, two brothers, Paul (Rita) Figel, Charles Figel, all of Monessen, a sister-in-law, Virginia Figel of Cranberry Twp., and by several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Josay, and by two brothers, Mike and Nick Figel. Friends will be received on Friday Dec. 16th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750). Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, beginning with a9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church.
