Ann Louise Drop, 90, of Virginia, formerly of Monessen, PA, died Wednesday September 28, 2016 at The Adler Center for Caring, Aldie VA. She was born on January 23, 1926 in Monessen, the daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine (Musial) Bolek. Mrs. Drop lived in Monessen until moving to Virginia after the death of her husband, Stanley C. Drop. She was a retired registered nurse having worked for the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. at its Monessen Plant. While living in Monessen, she was a member of the former St. Hyacinth Roman Catholic Church and Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her three children, Jeffrey (Laurie) Drop, Leanna (James) Lamkin, and Sharon M. Drop and husband Anastasios Skoulidas, nine grandchildren; Jamie, Jessica, Jeffrey, Alexandra, Christopher, Hannah, Ioannis, Ariana, and Zoe, three great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Payden, and Christian. Friends and family are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday Oct. 28, 2016 at 10:00 am in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church, 618 Knox Ave. Monessen. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Monessen. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (www.pablind.org).
