Alice L. (Read) Selcan

Alice L. (Read) Selcan, 91, of Monessen, died Monday December 6, 2021 in McMurray Hills Manor. She was born on July 8, 1930 in Monessen, the daughter of the late John "Jack" Read and Rose (Scalise) Read. Alice was a life long resident of Monessen, a graduate of Monessen High School and Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. She and her late husband John Selcan were part owners and operators of Rem's Electric and Supplies Inc. in Monessen for many years. Alice was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church in Monessen and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan having been a season ticket holder since 1976. Surviving are her two sons, Frank R. (Lisa) Lombardo of Rostraver Twp., Kevin P. Lombardo of Monessen; three grandchildren, Victoria "Tori" (Eric) Farmer of Greensburg, Jacquelyn Lombardo of Rostraver Twp., Joshua Lombardo of Scott Twp.; five great grandchildren, Francesca, Vienna, Jeremiah, Madix, and Sebastian; a sister, Lois Smith of Jupiter, FL; and by nieces and nephews. Private family viewing followed by a Blessing Service was held in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. & Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, with Fr. Michael J. Crookston officiating.
