Albert J. Fuoco, 84, of Monessen, died Monday, September 13, 2010 in Victoria House III, Monessen.He was born in Monessen on November 23, 1925, the son of the late Michael and Rose (Dominick) Fuoco. Mr. Fuoco was a resident of the Monessen and Charleroi areas all his life, and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church and its Holy Name Society. He was also member of the V.F.W. Arden Calvert Post 167 in Charleroi, American Legion Thomas McKee Post 28 in Monessen, and the Italian-American Heritage Society.Mr. Fuoco retired in 1986 from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation with 43 years of service having worked in the fabric department. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Army's 389th Anti Aircraft Artillery Battalion as a light machine gunner, in Central Europe and the Rhineland. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie Antoinette (Leone) Fuoco, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael A. and Linda Wilson Fuoco of Mt. Lebanon, Mark A. and Kathy McNeil Fuoco of Sacramento, CA, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Beatrice Fuoco of Bethel Park, Bill and Martha Fuoco of Orange City, FL, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Frances Hazen of Bentleyville, Louise and Larry Del Rosso of Carnegie, two grandchildren, Dante A. Fuoco of Mt. Lebanon, Maria M. Fuoco of Sacramento, CA, a step grandson, Gabriel McNeil of New York City, and by several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Fuoco Romito and Pearl Fuoco Schmoker.Friends will be received on Thursday Sept. 16th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church.
