Dennis R. Swalin

Dennis R. Swalin, 75, of Monessen, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 in Mon Valley Care Center. He was born on December 31, 1947 in Monessen, the son of the late Elfing and Yolanda (Dustolfo) Swalin. He was a member of Word of Life Church in Hempfield and a 1966 graduate of Monessen High School. Dennis was a United States Navy Veteran and served his country during Vietnam. He worked as a Engineer throughout the Nuclear Energy field. Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Sharon (Gido) Swalin; son, Sean (Melissa) Swalin of San Francisco; three grandchildren, Zachary, Gabriella and Brody; sister, Joyce Wassilchak of North Carolina. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard G. Swalin. Friends will be received on Tuesday January 31st, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Feb. 1st beginning at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
